CG Enrollment - Monday, 8/10 - Wednesday, 8/12
We are gearing up to launch our 2026-2027 Community Groups! We sincerely believe that we can be transformed to be more like Jesus in the ordinary rhythms of eating, praying, sharing, and learning in intimate and intentional communities. We want to welcome anyone, regardless of where you might be in your personal journey of faith, to join a Community Group and experience the welcome and love of God. Community Groups enrollment will take place from August 10-August 12 and all groups will officially launch early September. Sign ups will be available via the weekly round up or by visiting our website at the link below during the CG enrollment period.

Intro to Citizens - Saturday, August 1st @ 9am
On Saturday August 1, we'll be having our Intro to Citizens class for those who would like to learn more about the vision, mission, and values of Citizens. If you are new and would like to learn more about our church, we invite you to join us for this 3-hour class. Please note that this class is required for anyone who'd like to become a covenant member of Citizens or be baptized or have your child baptized here at our church. Breakfast and coffee will be provided!

Newcomers Lunch - TODAY after the 11:30am Service
If you are new to our church, we'd love to meet you! On the last Sunday of every month, a group of us go out to eat and want to especially invite our newcomers to join us! This is a casual, pressure-free way to get acquainted with other newcomers, staff, and volunteers. No signup is necessary - just meet us outside the sanctuary under the Newcomer's Lunch sign after the 11:30am service on the last Sunday of every month.
Marriage Conference - Friday, August 28th @ 7pm & Saturday, August 29th @ 9:30am
Pastor Drew Hyun and his wife Tina Hyun are excited to host our very first Marriage Conference on August 28–29. Whether you've been married one year or fifty, we invite couples of every season to join us for a weekend of connection. You'll gain or clarify a vision for your marriage that shapes the rest of your life together, while learning practical tools for relating well and deepening both emotional and physical intimacy. We know summer calendars fill up fast, so mark your calendars now! Full details and registration will follow in the coming weeks. We hope you will join us as we spend time eating together, laughing together, and growing deeper in intimacy with your spouse.

City Happy Hour + Trivia Night - Tuesday, July 28th @ 7pm
Join us on Tuesday July 28th at 7pm for our next City Happy Hour! Our City Happy Hours are a great way to meet others in our community while also getting to check out local spots throughout the city! For this next one we will also be having some fun trivia questions for some friendly competition with prizes! Feel free to invite a friend or coworker if you'd like. The cost of your RSVP will go directly towards your drink and some shared appetizers for the group.

Citizens High School Summer Retreat 2026 - Friday, 8/14 - Sunday, 8/16
Our High School Ministry will be hosting our summer retreat from August 14-16, 2026. Join our community for a refreshing weekend connecting with God and with one another. Join us for a day of fun, fellowship, and friendly competition at our second annual Citizens Summer Volleyball Tournament coming up on Saturday August 8th. All skills levels are welcome to sign up! The $45 registration fee will go towards facility rental costs, team shirt, and lunch.

Intro to Community is a 3-hour class exploring a biblical framework of community, our unique witness as a countercultural presence in Los Angeles, and practices that cultivate authentic community. We'll also share the vision, values, and rhythms of our Community Groups. This one-time class is the pathway to joining a Community Group here at Citizens. New members interested in joining a Community Group for the first time must complete the Intro to Community class prior to signing up for a group. Breakfast and coffee will be provided!
